What started as a dream became a passion that launched them into a business that was named by mistake. The brand name was supposed to reflect the first few letters of Edda’s last name but was mistakenly reproduced with an “h” instead of “k”; they were replacing the double “c” with a “k”. For good luck the founders decided to stick with the name Parah instead. Through the years Parah went from designing swimsuits to lingerie, in the 1980’s, when they began making corsets again. With the re-launch of the lingerie industry, Parah released one of their most famous products, the Lumiere bra, and the lingerie line has continued to grow ever since.
