A sauna room helps you get rid of toxins after a massage session. But before you head over to one, here are tips to help you. If this is your first time to use a sauna room in Los Angeles, you’ll find these tips handy.

Go to the Sauna Room First

It’s always best to start with the sauna. Leave the steam room for later. Make sure you take a shower first, though. That’s a hygienic practice. Also, you’ll want to drink a glass of water before the sauna room. Staying hydrated will help release the toxins in your system.

Stay Just Long Enough

You don’t spend half an hour inside the sauna room. You should only stay there for about ten or fifteen minutes. That’s enough to stimulate circulation and help release toxins from your system by sweating it out.

Drink Water

Whether it’s before or after a massage session, make it a habit to stay hydrated. Drink lots of water. That will nourish your skin and maximize your visits to the spa and sauna. That’s because being in the sauna room dehydrates you.

Be Careful of the Floor

Don’t rush or run around. The wet floors could be a slip hazard. While reputable spas will ensure that the environment is safe, don’t take unnecessary risks. Mind your step when you walk.

Eat Later

Some Korean spas have a restaurant onsite. If you plan on getting a massage, though, you’ll want to eat a light meal. It’ll be uncomfortable if you lie on your stomach or back when you fill full. Look for a meal that’s easy to digest.

Use Ice

If you’re still not used to the temperature of the sauna room, bring a small paper cup with you. Get a few ice cubes from the dispenser—there’s usually one in the spa. Rub the cubes over your face and body to help you cope with the heat. Grand Spa
