Want your games to last longer? Having guns in great shape helps make that happen. If you want your airsoft games to last, make sure your airsoft spring revolver and gas sniper rifle are well up for the challenge. Here are a few basic tips from Airsoft Dome on how to take proper care of your airsoft guns:

Charging

  • First time to use it? Make sure the battery is fully loaded.

  • Is your battery hot or warm? Don’t charge. If it heats up while you’re charging it, unplug the device or take out the battery right away.

  • Follow the suggested charging times. Going beyond that could damage the battery and you’d have to buy one too soon.

  • Always remember to take out the batteries every time you’re done.

Maintenance

  • Want to clean the gearbox? Let a professional do it. This way, the maintenance will go off without any problems.

  • Keep your guns dry. The moment it gets wet or damp, take it to a dealer for repairs.

  • Want to repair it yourself? Don’t take the gun apart. If you haven’t got the know-how or expertise to put it back together, leave it alone.

Damage and Repair

  • Never drop your airsoft gun. You could damage it beyond repair which is a sad sight to see.

  • Trigger-pull trouble? Don’t try to force it. There might be a problem inside your gun. You forcing the trigger could make matters worse.

  • Jam issues? Make sure not to fire it again. Have the issue fixed before you use it again.

Ammunition

  • Got broken paintballs? Don’t fire that gun. Any broken ammunition inside the barrel could explode upon firing. Make sure to clean the barrel first before you fire another shot. Otherwise, this could damage your airsoft gun irrevocably.

  • Load your magazine based on what it can handle, not over it. Overloading can loosen the spring or cause your ammunition to pop out—which isn’t something you want to happen in the middle of an intense game.

  • Don’t skimp on quality. Using poor quality ammunition can damage your airsoft gun. Make sure you use round ammunition. Otherwise, you could end up with a jammed barrel or a broken gun.

These are just some tips to make sure your airsoft spring revolver lasts. If you’re interested in buying a new one though, drop by Airsoft GI and have a look-around.
