Myth: If I Lose Weight, Then I Will Not Need a CPAP Machine
Fact: Losing weight has been shown to reduce the severity of sleep apnea symptoms. Some people are able to stop using the CPAP machine after they lose weight. However, this is not the case for everyone. If you have lost weight and want to stop using a CPAP machine, then you should consult with your doctor. You will need to get another sleep study.

Myth: CPAP Machines Cause Sinus Infections
Fact: Many people who use a CPAP machine suffer from things like nasal dryness and stuffiness. However, the CPAP machine does not cause a sinus infection. A sinus infection is caused by a virus or bacteria.
